Updates for Families: April 5, 2024

Updates for Families banner

Dear KPR Families,

ÌýThis time of year brings renewal, energy and excitement in many ways, and we continue to be amazed by the learning and growth taking place in our schools every day!

ÌýDespite this week’s snow, warmer spring days are on their way. Spring is a great time to connect withÌý. Students and their families are invited to engage in the Passport to Reconciliation, which includes weekly activities, guiding questions and resources to help reflect on important topics such as Land Acknowledgements, what it means to be a Treaty partner, land-based learning and the impacts of climate change for Indigenous Communities.

ÌýAs we look ahead to the coming weeks, our school communities will recognize several important days including Eid ul-Fitr and Vaisakhi. In addition, we look forward to National Volunteer Week from April 14thÌý- 20thÌýwhere we will celebrate and shine a spotlight on some of the many significant contributions and achievements of volunteers from across the Board! KPR’sÌý includes information about these dates and others throughout the month of April.

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,
Rita Russo
Director of Education
